RENTAL – MAGNETIC-BASE DRILLS

The new HMD508 portable magnetic drill (as displayed on the left) is a rugged, high powered drill for general fabrication and high production environments. The HMD508 features a two speed gear box with a new higher speed of 450 and 750 RPM for use with Copperhead™ carbide cutters. Additional features include: a patented quill feed arbor system for smooth cuts and minimal maintenance, positive slug ejection, and a two stage magnet which engages full power when the motor is turned on. The HMD508 also includes a gravity feed coolant bottle and carrying case.
The HMD904 is lightweight, compact, powerful and versatile, making it the drill of choice for general fabrication. Designed for the down and dirty job of making holes. The HMD904 is assembled with a hex drive spindle mounting, for fast and easy change out of drill arbor and accessories. The male hex mates to the drill arbor and is held in place by two set screws. To disengage the arbor, loosen the set screws and pull the arbor away from the motor spindle. The HMD904 also features rear-mounted, accessible controls and side-to-side reversible feed handles.

The Milwaukee magnetic-base drill, type 24208-1, has a powerful, 11.5-amp motor that is engineered for the toughest applications, delivering 250/500 RPM. It has a dual-mount gear case with reverse mount that permits tight quarter drilling.
The drill has a 1-1/4″ capacity that taps up to 1-inch, 14-threaded holes. At maximum force it develops up to 1600 pounds of drill point pressure with a 1-inch steel plate.
Its solid state electronic switching offers faster, smoother and quieter switching for a longer product life span and with line lockout the tool is prevented from operating if voltage is restored to an interrupted line.
Feedback speed control helps you maintain speed during operation. This unit features a No. 3 Morse Taper Chuck, for fast and easy bit changes while eliminating slippage and breakage.
